According to reports Immena, A technology company in Belgium, has developed an artificial intelligence that can measure how much time politicians spend looking at their cell phones during a business meeting.
The tool, called Flemish Scrollers, is written in the Python programming language and uses machine learning and face recognition technologies. Under Finnish law, government meetings are broadcast live on YouTube. It uses face recognition technology to identify politicians and then track when they spend their time working on their cell phones.
The AI then posted a short video of the politicians being tagged on Instagram and Twitter.
This tool was used on Monday, July 5, and attracted people’s attention. According to the Depoorter company, public feedback has been positive, with negative comments from politicians.
