Xiaomi has unveiled the new 15.6-inch and 14-inch Redmi Book Pro laptops

Xiaomi today unveiled the new Redmi Book Pro laptops equipped with AMD processors. The company was supposed to introduce all of its new Redmi notebook laptops together, but introduced models with Intel processors a little earlier than the rest in February. The laptops introduced today use AMD Advisor chipsets and are available in 14 and 15.6-inch models.

The Redmi Book Pro 15 is introduced in two different models with the Raizen 5 5600H processors (with 6 cores and 12 threads) and the Raizen 7 5800H (with 8 processing cores and 16 threads). Both models have a thermal power of 35 watts and are based on the latest female 3 core. These laptops use integrated Radeon graphics (with 7 and 8 cores, respectively) and do not have any additional graphics processors.

But the Redmi Book Pro 14 includes the Raizen 5 5500U (with 6 cores and 12 strands) and the Raizen 7 5700U (with 8 cores and 12 strands) models.

Regarding the other differences between the 14.6-inch and 15.6-inch Redmi Book Pro models, the 15.6-inch models use two fans for cooling, while the 14-inch models use only one fan.

On the other hand, 15.6-inch laptops have better displays and are equipped with 3200x2000 pixel panels with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. These monitors cover 100% of the sRGB color spectrum and have a maximum brightness of 300 nits with a contrast ratio of 1500: 1.

Of course, 15.6-inch laptops weigh more (1.8 kg), but instead use a larger battery, which is a 70-watt-hour battery with support for 100-watt fast charge. The 14-inch models weigh less (1.42 kg) and are equipped with a 56-watt-hour battery with a 65-watt charge speed. Both batteries can last for 14 hours on a single charge.

The new Redmi laptops are made of aluminum and have several ports, including 2 USB-C ports, a USB-A port, an HDMI port and an audio headphone jack. These laptops also support Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. They also have an integrated fingerprint sensor with a power button.

All models introduced today have 16GB of DDR4 dual-channel RAM and 512GB of SSD memory, and will go on sale on June 1.
