Honor has recently introduced a new category of its MagicBook laptops called the "Magicbook X". This series will host two ultrabooks with aluminum cover with the titles of Magic Book X14 and Magic Book X15.
Both notebooks are based on an Intel 10th generation processor that allows the user to choose between the i5-10210U and i3-10110U configurations with 8 to 16GB of DDR4 RAM. The PCIe NVMe SSD drive of these devices will also be equipped with a capacity of 256 or 512 GB.
These laptops will be equipped with 56-watt-hour batteries that can support 65-watt fast charging via a USB-C connection. The Magic Book X14 will be equipped with a 14-inch 16: 9 IPS display with 1080P resolution, but the X15 will have a 15.6-inch display with some upgrades. Honor has also received the TUV Rheinland certification for its new series, which assures users that there will be no overfill and that the display of these devices will use low-level blue light.
The ports used in these laptops will include USB-A 3.0 Gen1, USB-C, USB-A 2.0, full-size HDMI and a 3.5mm audio jack port.
The Honor Magic Book X14 and Magic Book X15 will weigh 1.38 and 1.56 kg, respectively. The MagicBook X14 will have narrower bezels, as stated at 4.8mm. The X15 will instead have a 5.7mm bezel.
So far, only the versions available for Russia have been mentioned. The MateBook X14 will be priced at 49,990 rubles (approximately $ 690) and the MateBook X15 will be priced at 52,990 rubles ($ 730). These laptops will be available in Russia from today.
The company also unveiled the base models of this series a few months ago. The Honor Magic Book 14 and 15 are equipped with the 11th generation of Intel chips and the MX450 graphics processor. Prices start at $ 726, which seems very affordable.
The screen sizes on the MagicBook 14 and 15 are 14 and 15.6 inches, respectively. This product supports 100% sRGB color gamut, 300 nits brightness and full eye protection, and comes with Rheinland certification for its low level of blue rays.
In this new notebook, the camera has a hidden design and is located on the keyboard. The fingerprint sensor is also built into the power button.
In terms of performance, both new laptops have the latest processor cores for Intel 11th generation chips, including the i5-1135G7 and i7-1165G7 processors. The i5 has both integrated and standalone versions, but the i7 has only a standalone version. The standalone display uses the Nvidia MX450 graphics card. Overall performance is 66% improved and smoother games are played.
All members of the series in question have dual-channel cache, and read and write speeds have increased by 50%. In addition, all versions have a 512 GB SSD.
The new Honorbook features a 2.2 MIMO dual antenna design and a high-speed Wi-Fi 6 connection. In addition, this product has a multi-screen integration function. Users can connect their PC and smartphone via the HONOR Magic-link feature. Once this is done, transferring a wide variety of images and videos can be done easily by dragging and dropping, and there will be no problem transferring folders.
In terms of heat dissipation, both new notebooks use dense shark wing coolers. These coolers have a dual heat pipe design that provides significant heat reduction performance. This performance is 38% better than before and the heat reduction is more effective.
In terms of price, both laptops have three versions and the prices are exactly the same.
